I have 30+ years in the Insurance and Financial Services industry. I grew up in Galena, IL which is known for being the temporary location where General Grant opened a general store following the Civil War. I moved to Virginia while serving in the U.S. Navy and have called Virginia my home for 35 years. The exciting part of this career is the impact we have on the lives of our clients from protecting their assets like their autos and home to planning for retirement, saving for college and passing a legacy on to their family and charitable causes. I get to be a part of it and that’s exciting! Sailing has become my hobby. I can’t think of a better place to sail than the Chesapeake Bay. I proudly support Hope for Families Worldwide a 501(C)3 who sponsor Christian Camps in Richmond, VA, Latvia and Costa Rica. These camps offer an opportunity for children that live in the inner cities to get away from the dangers in their normal environment and enjoy a typical summer camp which include games and water sports.
I have worked in the insurance industry since I was 15, but I took a break to attend VCU. Now I am a full-time insurance agent focusing on claims advocacy and ensuring the best customer service for our clients. I grew up in Richmond in the Tidewater region. I enjoy making the claims process smoother and more personal. It is important to me that every client is valued and educated on how best to protect themselves and family. I want them to understand the coverages they need and to know they have an advocate on their side. In my time away from the office, I enjoy going camping and hiking regularly with my two dogs, Chloe and Riley, and my husband, Tripp. I believe it’s our duty as a community to give back, I volunteer regularly with the American Civil Liberties Union and many other nonprofit organizations.
I started in the insurance industry in October of 2017. I was born and raised in Powhatan and now live right inside the Midlothian border. The aspect I love most about my work is helping people understand their insurance coverage and giving them that peace of mind. In my free time, I love going to Lake Gaston with my family and spending the day out on the boat. A fun fact about myself is I can’t say no to a good game, everything from cards to board games and everything in between. I and my family are active with The ALS Association and different charity events associated with it.
I am a recent addition to the Benson Insurance and Financial team. I am super excited to start working with and connecting with our clients. I grew up in Hanover, Virginia. During the academic year, I attend Virginia Tech as a Marketing Major and a Spanish Minor. GO HOKIES! I love interacting and talking with people. I want to make any interactions with clients peppy, helpful and positive. I am an animal lover, I am obsessed with golden retrievers, especially mine. In my free time, I love to read, run, and hang out with my identical twin. When I’m not working, I’m either playing with my puppy, Bear or running a few miles with my dad. Chocolate is my biggest weakness. My identical twin is an opera singer, I am just a radio singer. I have always made it a point to give back to those in need, I’ve become involved with Make-A-Wish foundation which helps terminally ill children achieve a dream or goal.
I have 12 yrs in the insurance business, I’m licensed in Property & Casualty, Life, Health and Annuities. I grew up just south of here in Dinwiddie County, but have called Chesterfield County home for the last 25 yrs. I graduated from Bluefield College. The aspect I love most about my work is how much I truly enjoy working with our customers to ensure they not only have the proper protection but they understand the coverages provided. It’s satisfying to know at the end of the day I made a difference! When I am able to get away from the office I absolutely love the Outer Banks, NC. It’s my peace on earth. I love spending time with my husband, going to the beach, watching current sports or taking a bus trip to the nearby Casino!! I enjoy reading a good book or making someone a quilt. I like to work alongside the American Red Cross to assist in any way I can.
It has been my joy to help others find peace of mind knowing that they are protected should the unexpected arise. Prior to returning to Virginia from Kentucky and meeting Mr. Benson, I worked for a top Fortune 500 healthcare company, specializing in insurance. I strive to make sure that each person feels respected and know that they are in good hands. In 2013 I graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Urban Design and Planning and then worked in Florence Italy for six months. From my experience overseas, I have gained a passion for traveling and admiring different cultures and values all around the world. One goal of mine is to have the privilege to see the Northern Lights. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and exploring new places with my two rescue dogs, Riley and Buck. So far, we have hiked together in seven different states, and in over 34 different state parks. I have participated in many different community service programs, including The Big Event, Habitat for Humanity, and The Nature Conservancy.
